Explaining Sahih Muslim Book 1 - Hadith 405-415   Chapter 87: The supplication of the Prophet (saws) for his ummah and his weeping out of compassion for them .   'Abdullah b. Amr b. al-'As reported:   Verily the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) recited the words of Allah, the Great and Glorious, that Ibrahim uttered. My Lord! lo! they have led many of mankind astray:" But whoso followeth me, he verily is of me" (al-Qur'an, xiv. 35) and Jesus (peace be upon him) said:" If thou punisheth them, lo! they are Thy slaves, and if Thou forgiveth them-verily Thou art the Mighty, the Wise" (al-Qur'an, v 117). Then he raised his hands and said: O Lord, my Ummah, my Ummah, and wept; so Allah the High and the Exalted said: O Gabriel, go to Muhammad (though your Lord knows it fully well) and ask him: What makes thee weep? So Gabriel (peace be upon him) came to him and asked him, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) informed him what he had said (though Allah knew it fully well). ...

Surah Al-ʻAṣr

Surah Al-ʻAṣr   In The Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful   By Al-'Asr (the time). ( Quran Surah Al-ʻAṣr 103:1 )   Verily! Man is in loss, ( Quran 103:2 )   Except those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth (i.e. order one another to perform all kinds of good deeds (Al-Ma'ruf) which Allah has ordained, and abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds (Al-Munkar) which Allah has forbidden), and recommend one another to patience (for the sufferings, harms, and injuries which one may encounter in Allah's Cause during preaching His religion of Islamic Monotheism or Jihad, etc.). ( Quran 103:3 )  

Surah Al-ʻAlaq

  Surah Al-ʻAlaq   In The Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful   Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), ( Quran Surah Al-ʻAlaq 96:1 )   Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). ( Quran Surah Al-ʻAlaq 96:2 )   Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, ( Quran Surah Al-ʻAlaq 96:3 )   Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. Surah Ash-Sharḥ

Surah Ash-Sharḥ   In The Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful   Have We not opened your breast for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))? ( Quran Surah Ash-Sharḥ 94:1 )   And removed from you your burden, ( Quran 94:2 )   Which weighed down your back? ( Quran 94:3 )   And raised high your fame? ( Quran 94:4 )   So verily, with the hardship, there is relief, ( Quran 94:5 )   Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). ( Quran 94:6 )   So when you have finished (from your occupation), then stand up for Allah's worship (i.e. stand up for prayer). ( Quran 94:7 )   And to your Lord (Alone) turn (all your intentions and hopes and) your invocations. ( Quran 94:8 )

Surah Al-Inshiqāq

  Surah Al-Inshiqāq   In The Name Of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful   When the heaven is split asunder, ( Quran Surah Al-Inshiqāq 84:1 )   And listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so; ( Quran Surah Al-Inshiqāq 84:2 )   And when the earth is stretched forth, ( Quran Surah Al-Inshiqāq 84:3 )   And has cast out all that was in it and became empty, ( Quran Surah Al-Inshiqāq 84:4 )   And listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so; ( Quran Surah Al-Inshiqāq 84:5 )   O man! Verily, you are returning towards your Lord with your deeds and actions (good or bad), a sure returning, so you will meet (i.e. the results of your deeds which you did). Surah Al-Infiṭār   In The Name Of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful   When the heaven is cleft asunder.   Surah At-Takwīr   In The Name Of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful   When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown).
