Surah Al-Maʻārij
Surah Al-Maʻārij In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful A questioner asked concerning a torment about to befall ( Quran Surah Al-Maʻārij 70:1 ) Upon the disbelievers, which none can avert, ( Quran Surah Al-Maʻārij 70:2 ) From Allah, the Lord of the ways of ascent. ( Quran Surah Al-Maʻārij 70:3 ) The angels and the Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] ascend to Him in a Day the measure whereof is fifty thousand years, ( Quran Surah Al-Maʻārij 70:4 ) So be patient (O Muhammad SAW ), with a good patience. ( Quran Surah Al-Maʻārij 70:5 ) Verily! They see it (the torment) afar off, ( Quran 70:6 ) But We see it (quite) near. ( Quran 70:7 ) The Day that the sky will be like the boiling filth of oil, (or molten copper or silver or lead, etc.). ( Quran 70:8 ) And the mountains will be like flakes of wool, ( Quran 70:9 ) And no friend will ask of a friend, ( Quran 70:10 ...
