Surah Al-Masad

 

In The Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

 

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! (Quran Surah Al-Masad 111:1)

 

His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! (Quran 111:2)

 

He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! (Quran 111:3)

 

And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), or use to slander him) . (Quran 111:4)

 

In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). (Quran 111:5)
